Jeff Koons has said in an interview that his ideas are a natural process.
“Generally I walk around and I see one
object and it affects me. I can’t just choose any object or any theme to work
with. I can be confronted by an object and be interested in a specific thing
about it, and the context develops simultaneously. I never try to create a
context artificially. I think about my work every minute of the day”.
Jeff Koons isn’t the one who makes his art especially when they are as big
as the hanging hart (see the picture in artists) he is just the idea man. His
works are so special that they are sold for millions of dollars. Why they are
so special, he works with everyday objects this can make the people want to look
at the work because it’s familiar. All his works do have an extraordinary twist
to it and they are just one of a kind.
I think Jeff Koons is a great artist. His way of making old common things
into something special that makes you want to keep looking at it is just
fantastic. With his work he touches people because they are familiar with the
shape and the subject like Michael Jackson or puppy’s. By making them bigger, smaller,
a different color, material or putting the objects in a different surrounding
makes it even more interesting to look at. I don’t particularly like every
piece of art by him but a lot I think are really special. Especially the series
celebration I like because of the bright colors and the feeling that it makes
me happy. The celebration makes me really happy because I like the idea of
celebration and I associate it with happiness.
